The third major theoretical approach in the modern child - TopicsExpress

The third major theoretical approach in the modern child psychology is ethology, the study of the development from an evolutionary perspective. The historical roots of this tradition can be traced to the work of the Charles Darwin (1809___1882). More recently, a similar approach has sprung up in the field of biology. Called sociobiology, this approach looks for evolutionary origins of social behavior (E. O. Wilson,1975).
