The third weather disturbance (of three) will hit the Northern - TopicsExpress

The third weather disturbance (of three) will hit the Northern half of Utah late tonight and tomorrow morning. Accumulations will generally be one to three inches along the Wasatch Front (most will fall on the Benches), while three to five inches is expected in Cache Valley and four to seven inches in the Wasatch Mountain Valleys and SW Wyoming. Between six and 12 inches will accumulate in the Northern Mountains, with locally higher amounts in the upper Cottonwood Canyons. Avalanche danger is high, so be very cautious if you are planning to ski in the back country. Winter storm warnings continue through tomorrow morning for the Northern mountains, while advisories for snow have been issued for Cache Valley & the Wasatch Mountain Valleys. A few mountain snow showers will fall again Tuesday, but a drying trend and a warming trend will develop just in time for the big Thanksgiving Holiday travel period, Wednesday through the weekend. The far South will not see any storminess Monday, and it will warm up to nearly 10 degees above average by Thanksgiving. Also, I have added the storm totals so far. The Cottonwood Canyons have seen over two feet, with another foot of new snow expected...this will put the storm totals by Monday afternoon at over three feet!
