The time has come to formally announce what we feel will be one of the most impactful programs the Pensacola dance community has ever seen. On Tuesday, September 2nd, we will be starting a new West Coast Swing class with a special twist… … Everybody 30 years of age and younger can attend for FREE! This is an initiative to add a new level of exuberance to our dance community by coaching and mentoring a younger generation of West Coast Swing dancers, providing the leadership they need to become responsible social dancers in our community who regularly pay-it-forward just as we will be doing so for them. Our program is modeled after the highly successful 30-and-under program developed by two of the most respected Florida dance community leaders, Tommy Gibbs and Renee Lipman of Tampa, FL. Before you read on, take a few minutes to watch a video Tommy and Renee made for us highlighting their program and why they think it would be a great fit for us in Pensacola. youtu.be/011CTl9ublA Traci and I can tell you first hand that the Tampa dance community has grown exponentially over the last few years, largely as a result of Tommy and Renee’s leadership. We are excited to follow in their footsteps to create scores of new dancers in our area who will breathe new life into an already growing dance community. Every Tuesday at 6:30pm, we will be hosting, at DanceCraft, a West Coast Swing class that is open to everybody, and FREE to anybody 30 years of age and younger. This will be a mixed-level class, meaning at times the class will be split into different groups based on skill level. All levels of dancers, from newbies to competitors, are welcome and encouraged to join us. We are very excited to bring this program to Pensacola! Our leadership team is anxious to work with all the potential young dancers out there, not only to teach them how to be great leaders/followers on the dance floor, but to also mentor them with our high standards of social dance etiquette. DanceCraft is known for its warm, friendly, welcoming environment, making it the home studio of dancers from all partner dance disciplines, all age groups, and all walks of life. With the proper coaching and mentorship, we feel these young new dancers will make a significantly positive impact on our dance community. We ask that you share this information with everybody you know and encourage people to participate. Once again, this class is for everybody, but free to anybody 30 years of age or younger. We are also accepting donations to help pay for dance shoes for these new dancers. Please talk to Jeremy Ruben if you would like to contribute in any way. Thank you all for your support! Spread the word and enjoy all the new dancers! Sincerely, The Leadership Team at DanceCraft DanceCraftFL
