The time has finally come, this Saturday on August the 16th I will finally be moving off to college. I want to take sometime to note a few things and have a few celebratory moments. Through the past few years I have had an amazing life at the Early College, of course with my many friends (mostly from the early college). I believe it was truly one of the best choices I had ever made... here I am 19 years old and Im classified at a junior at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Anyone that really knows me knows I did not get there easily and without tons of struggle for 5 years. Ive worked so hard and dragged myself all the way until the very end.. but I did it! Besides my wonderful education, in which I very much appreciate the opportunity to have I would also like to speak and thank my amazing support group. Over the past few years its been amazing how many people I have associated with. I feel like I dont really know any strangers. I have always loved meeting people, and I feel like ive met almost all of the teenage population of Caldwell county (not really, but it feels like it). First of all I would love to thank everyone.. thank you to everyone who has participated in my life up to this point. My closest and dearest friends, who some of which I consider my family (even if we arent really related!) are the ones I appreciated the most. I know I could not proudly sit here and type of these accomplishments if it werent for these amazing people. First of all I would like to thank Cody Woods (one of my few non early college friends) for always being there for me. We have been friends since we were in kindergarten and best friends for the greatest majority of that time. We fought through valmead, WLMS, and every social issue imaginable. We had arguments, raged over video games, raged over board games, raged over card games, raged over girls, raged over jerks of the past, dude we rage. I dont even know what to say to you.. I just know we have been to the pit and back in every issue imaginable and we have always had each others backs. My longest term best friend. Second of all theres Zachary BearCat Church. Dude I dont really know what I could have done without you either. You have been a true inspiration on my life as well. At times I really felt like giving up, you were always there for me and that best friend that helped me toughen up. I always was too soft and took too much from everyone.. but you helped me realize who I needed to become. We have been like brothers, ive stayed at your own house. I feel like im as close to your family as I am to my family!! You have had one of the biggest impacts on my life. You have taught me so many things I desperately needed to know to be happy in life. Thank you so much. Youre the coolest guy I know! You guys were my brothers, my very best of friends. Ill miss you guys terribly. I really dont know how my life would have been without basically living at your houses... Amelia Stallings and Kelsey Toliver Thank you so much for always being there for me, to listen to me when I was down for all of those years (Especially my crazy first three years of high school) you both were so supportive. I remember the birthday parties you would throw me every year because I never really had one. Every big trip, and then even back home on my 18th birthday. You two were a saving grace to me. Youre both so amazing, talented, smart, and I feel like your kindness will take you so far in life. (same person, had to make it the same paragraph..) Alec Moriarty man you a part of my non biological family as far as im concerned. You have really been a great friend as well. I never will forget that night I was so depressed at the outer banks and you came over to help me. I wouldve never imagined we wouldve ever got as close as we did. Me you and Zach had some really good times. Sometime near the holiday season I hope we can all catch up and talk about the ole days. You always told me how bad I was at COD, and also taught me to stand up for myself and how to really treat the bad people. You are also a life saver! Madeline Smith I know were both going to charlotte but I had to write you something! You were a big part into helping write the amazing birthday cards to me. we have always kept up on our birthdays ;) since they are like.. 5 days a part... kiddo... (haha im older) we always have the funniest jokes. everytime I talk to you I feel like laying on the floor laughing our conversations are that great! I know we will see each other in Charlotte! Regardless I wanted to give you this shout out because I think you really are such an amazing person, and youre definitely a great role model for how people should be. I really really appreciate you. Quentin Hickam I bet you are surprised I tagged you! Im not really sure! I havent talked to you much in a long time (thinking about deleting your name.. you treasonists.. switching to apple). Anyway I wanted to thank you for always helping me academically and being a great friend. I never met someone so good at math in my life. You made calculus look as easy as speaking elementary english. Youre a sheer genius and you will probably make it really big one day. (Just always pick the babylonians) (haha old civ joke) (swings arm!) Naga Sadow (Micheal) hope I spelled that right. Anyway I always think about how I was afraid to talk to you, like you were a bully or something back last last spring. You were in Poseys class and she made us work together. I was so scared. You were the first anime fan (okay I know im lame and only like Naruto) that I met. I think we were best friends for quite some time and I really miss those subway and burger king run. Talking about naruto, and continuous life issues you had to listen to me complain about. You are a pretty cool dude and have taught me a lot.. especially in my own field. Youre gonna go far! Good luck! Stay in touch! And we gotta catch up some day! (I wanted to tag Stephen about some nice things but I guess he disapeared.. will find new way of contact.. I hope). Devan Weaver Dude you have helped me quite a bit along the way and I hope we become like best friends in the future because all in all.. youre a pretty cool dude. You helped me pick out this amazing watch. I used to be so impressed with you back in the Devanispro days! Ah xbox live.. gotta miss it. (you xbox one kids dont count) David Shumaker I dont really know if you remember this. We used to go eat every friday on our break or after school. Talk about some random chicks and eat some good food. It was bojangles, moms kitchen often. We rode with you at prom.. it was interesting! I love your house and you have nice family. Youre cool! We gotta catch up too! Its been a very long time! Good luck at UNCG!! Kayla Rupard Yo kiddo! Know you probably arent feeling so good right now! You are the sleepiest human being I have ever met. You sleep a lot. Just kidding. You are really funny... and blonde sometimes but who would know (since you die it brown...) We have had some really funny and interesting conversations.. (buttermunches) dieing. Anyway I thought I would definitely tag you since you have been one of my long term friends. Dustin Goldman dude Im really going to miss that time we went cruising. We had some really good times to. Argued a lot but I think it was all for the best.. I learned so much from you! Bryson Greer You were the first person to introduce me to Charlotte. I really fell in love with the place (even if that was an AWFUL DAY for me). I really hope you do great in the military, I know you will. Good luck! Youre going to have a really great future both in your education and in the military Hooooah! (I hope I did that right, please dont be insulted). There are so many more HUNDREDS of people that have committed to my life. This is just a very few.. but I felt the need to thank these people specifically.. I couldnt have done it without any of you! I have so much faith that you all will restore humanity.. well you did for me anyway! Thank you! So much! I really appreciate all you have done for me. Im really going to miss you all.. but please stay in touch.. you all have my number! Hangouts often, memories should not be forgotten. I love you all...
