The time is getting close for our trip to Nepal the location has changed and we are now got to a village in the mountains, " Deupur in Sindhupalchok district."We leave Brazil Oct 16 and arrive in Kathmandu, Nepal 2 days later. We then have a 3 hour drive by van and then a 45 minute hike to the village. This will present a few more challenges for logistical reasons. We will use donkeys (hopefully) to carry supplies and equipment up to the village. The plan is to help build a small wood structure church. We will be sleeping in tents and sleeping bags. The weather in the lower elevations this time of year is not bad 75f during the day and 65f at night, however in the mountains I am sure it will be much cooler. We have a group of about 13 people going a mix of Americans and Brazilians. The goal is to build a church but the MISSION is to build the Kingdom of God. We return to Brazil 29 Oct. Deixaremos o Brasil no dia 16 de outubro e chegaremos em Kathmandu, Nepal dois dias mais tarde. Teremos, então, 3 horas de carro e, em seguida, uma caminhada 45 minutos para a aldeia. Isso vai nos apresentar mais alguns desafios, por razões logísticas. Usaremos burros (espero!) para transportar suprimentos e equipamentos até a vila. O plano é ajudar a construir uma igreja pequena de estrutura de madeira. Nós estaremos dormindo em barracas e sacos de dormir. O clima nas altitudes mais baixas nesta época do ano não é ruim 23C durante o dia e à noite 18C , no entanto, nas montanhas, eu tenho certeza que vai ser muito mais frio. Temos um grupo de cerca de 13 pessoas que são uma mistura de americanos e brasileiros. O objetivo é a construção de uma igreja, mas a missão é construir o Reino de Deus no Nepal.
