The tone for today has been set :( The magpies nesting in a nearby tree must have finally laid eggs in a small nest - there are at least 6 crows attacking the nest, one is clearly pecking at eggs or chicks whilst the others attack the magpies. I feel so sad for them, if it wasnt the storms blowing their nests away, theyve not had this. They are no trouble, they happily co-exist with the hundreds of sparrows that live in a nearby bush and we often see them all feeding happily together from the large number of feeders in my garden. B*rstard crows.
