The towboat WP Snyder Jr., built as the WH Clingerman in 1918, at her berth on the Muskingum River at the Ohio River Museum, Marietta. Built to push coal barges and accommodate crew, the towboat had a complement of about 20 people including the captain, pilot, mate, engineer, assistant engineers, deckhands, maids and a cook. The boat has a pilothouse and engine room, 11 staterooms, 4 commodes, 3 showers, a bath tub, two pantries, a refrigerator, cookhouse, dining room and laundry. The boat is 175 feet long with a 32 foot width. Her two engines drive a 21 foot paddlewheel giving a speed of 8 miles per hour.
