The town I live in has three or four different FB pages for community members. It all started out innocently enough: referrals for contractors, pet services, child care. Then the serial citizens began posting federal, state and municipal government complaints and injustices along with the big corporations and other senseless targets held hostage and silent by logic, decorum and occasionally employment contracts. The deteriorating product: people are seeking a provocative way to have their message read, resulting in daily posts that attempt to whip readers into a frenzy with hyperbole if your lucky, gross rudeness, accusations of criminal activity and the degradation of neighbors and friends most often. IF THESE POSTS HAD TO BE SPOKEN ALOUD TO THEIR TARGET AUDIENCE THEY WOULD NEVER BE AIRED. keyboards have made people irresponsible and cruel. Oddly, I would stamp my feet and say all of this in public to my neighbors at any time. Sorry for the rant.
