The town hall meeting that Brian Halladay and I are hosting is not political. It is not ideological. It is about science and accounting...which makes sense because we are doctors and accountants respectively by profession. We will address issues of extreme informational import that USOE, lawmakers, and our flagship news agencies either have forgotten, or quite possibly, simply do not know. As a elected board member, Mr. Halliday feels he must have this meeting to uphold his oath of office. As a Dr. of Clinical Psychology, I feel must have this meeting to uphold my oath of do no harm to this community. Our silence would cause immeasurable harm to the children and parents of our respective communities. We will not be debating alternatives or solutions. That is the job of the politicians you have, and will be electing in a few short days. Many will be in attendance. In addition, please note that we will not be calling out ANY elected or appointed officials in the State of Utah. That also is beyond our area of expertise or intent of the meeting. We will inform. Provide documentation acceptable in nature as established by the ethics of our respective professions. Then we go home. The rest is up to you as a community to either act on the information....or dismiss it as insane. Im fine with either choice, but you DO have the right to know and be fully informed. Gary
