The town of Silverton was a smallish town. A grainery, ale house, stable, a butcher and the homes of all those who lived there and made their livelyhood from the surrounding forests. A quiet place but for me and my great beast. After all was said and done I dismounted and lead my horse to the stables. "Greeting Blacksmith how may I be of service this day?" Asked the stable master as we came abreast to the pens. I smiles and fetched a silver coin from my pouch and pitched it to him. He caught it in mid flight and tested it with his teeth. "Stable this great beast of mine and prepare me a supply of grain and fodder for at least four months to be delivered to the smithy." I replied as I walked around to the front of the horse gripping his bridle with both my hands. I look him in his eye and whispered.. "Behave or not apple hear." He snorted at me then shuck his massive head. I in turn pettied his fore head and handed the reins over the the stable master who called out for one of his worker. I smiled to myself as I walked towards the grainery to purchase food stuffs needed to keep my own belly full. Aye I thought as I looked to the skies above. This winter will not be an easy one for man nor beast. My mind settled on the fact I would need to build a place for my war horse and possibly his companion. Looking about I saw that most if not all the structures were made from timber gathered from the forests themselves. All but the grainery for it held all the food stuff and other supplies these people needed to survive. This place was made of quarried stone with a solid wood roof. Entering the shop owner came to me and handed me a tankard of ale. " freshly brewed " he said as he wiped his hands. Like so many who live and work in these parts he was stocky, black haired, breaded, and in his forth decade. His wife was haggling with another man looking for his own supplies but she looked my way and winked. I winked back as I lifted the tankard and drank deeply. I looked to the shop keeper and smacked my lips looking skywards thinking, my eye watched as the man waited for my judgement. I drank once more emptying the vessel and handed it back too him. " I will take ten medium casks of this brew as well as some other things I will be needing . Now the haggle begins.
