The traditional Danish Christmas meal is roast pork, boiled - TopicsExpress

The traditional Danish Christmas meal is roast pork, boiled potatoes, red cabbage and gravy, although in recent times roast duck or goose have become popular. I feel my family serves all :)..roast pork , roast lamb leg , roast goose and smoked salmon fish with freshly home baked bread ! In Denmark, Christmas is celebrated on Christmas Eve (24 December). It’s a day full of busy lunch & dinner preparations . Many people attend an early Christmas mass in church before Christmas dinner. This is not just because of religious beliefs; many enjoy sharing in the tradition of coming together in church and singing Danish Christmas carols, as people have done for centuries. Traditionally the Danish Christmas tree is the Norwegian spruce. Nowadays many buy a Normann spruce whose needles last a little longer. People living near woods are lucky enough to have the opportunity to pick and cut down their own tree. My pine tree was bought from a local farmer . My kids took the pride to decorate the tree beautifully with real candle lights . I wish each and everyone a Merry Christmas and have fun :) ! Clara J Photography
