The tragic war on nature continued right into the late 21st century. In spite of all the warning signs in climate and natural imbalance the humans would not change their ways. Through blind greed and arrogance the human race drove itself to the brink of extinction. Only then when the last remaining humans stared annihilation in the face, were they forced to embrace the way of the heart and harmony with their own planet. Intergalactic travellers are warned that if you do take the risk to visit Earth, the humans are still very primitive and are learning their lessons the hard way. Were we tempted to rescue survivors of the great extinction? No. It was deemed not wise. For if they were rescued and taken to a new planet without learning anything, they would have just repeated the same folly. Tough love was the only way. Maybe one day they will have evolved enough to join the galactic community.
