The trip on the Eurostar to London was uneventful except fighting - TopicsExpress

The trip on the Eurostar to London was uneventful except fighting the hordes to board with enormous luggage, lol. We went to my friends to "check in" and then to the National Portrait Gallery which also has many sculptures. Started with many 16th century paintings of royalty and such. I liked the info posted with each one about all the plotting, backstabbing etc. My soap opera side I guess. Lol. We traveled thru the centuries to see many luminaries including Queens E, I and II(with a nice family portrait with her and parents, Sir Francis Drake Shakespeare, Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn, Queen V, Floence Nightingale, the Duke of Wellington, Disraeli, Chamberlain of Munich fame, Churchill, Maggie T, Lucien Freud, Henry Moore in younger years, and ending with two of my fave Warhols, Liz and Joan. Enjoy!!
