The true name of God in the Hebrew is Ahayah Ashar Ahayah which means I Am that I Am. This can be found in Exodus 3:13-15 Exo 3:13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? Exo 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. Exo 3:15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations. The Heavenly Father revealed His Name to Moses as we can see in the Book of Exodus. The question is where do the other names such as God, Jehovah, Yaweh, Yehovah, Buddha, Allah, etc. descend from? Some may say that the God of the Bible has many names and that we’re just calling on Him in our own language. If we’re all worshipping the same “God”, why do the Muslims attempt to convert Christians into calling on Allah? Why do Christians attempt to convert Buddhist into worshipping Jehovah? Why do Israelites tell Christians that God and Lord are improper names if we’re all worshipping the same “God”. What all religions that make this statement fail to realize first is that there is not one “God” in this earth being worshipped: Psa 96:4 For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods. Psa 96:5 For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens. At the helm of all these gods is Satan himself. As we all know, he made a promise to be worshipped as “God” in the earth: Isa 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! Isa 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: Isa 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Isa 14:15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. Could it be that Satan and his minions are being called on ignorantly in your religion? One thing we know about the true name of the Father is that according to the Bible, it would be dreadful among the heathen: Mal 1:14 But cursed be the deceiver, which hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the Lord a corrupt thing: for I am a great King, saith the LORD of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the heathen. Why then would the heathen uphold any of the names that we have aforementioned? The reality is that the heathen love and promote those names, because these are the names of the gods from whom they receive their power and might over the Children of Israel. What About Christ’s Name? Christ’s true name according to the Bible is Yashaya which means My Savior. As the Zondervan Bible Dictionary confirms, Hebrews named their children based on “… a particular position, function, or relationship.” (ZBD entry for Names). Christ’s function and position was that of a Savior to the nation of Israel: Mat 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Jesus is a Greek injection. The translation should say, “And thou shalt call his name Savior: for he shall save his people from their sins”. Act 5:31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. Luk 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. The Greek word for Save in Matt. 1:21 is: G4982 σώζω sōzō sode’-zo From a primary word σως sōs (contraction for the obsolete σάος saos, “safe”); to save, that is, deliver or protect (literally or figuratively): – heal, preserve, save (self), do well, be (make) whole. The Hebrew equivalent of G4982 is H3467 which is: H3467 ישׁע yâsha‛ yaw-shah’ A primitive root; properly to be open, wide or free, that is, (by implication) to be safe; causatively to free or succor: – X at all, avenging, defend, deliver (-er), help, preserve, rescue, be safe, bring (having) salvation, save (-iour), get victory. 2Samuel 22:3, a scripture which is prophetic of Christ, reveals his true name: 2Sa 22:3 The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence. The Hebrew word for My Savior is ישׁעי (Yashaya or Yashiya) As the Bible states, the Most High and Christ’s true names would be a mystery. Pro 30:4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell? The names that are taught in the earth are not a mystery and are widely known and promoted. It’s Ahayah and Yashaya which the masses have not been taught: Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Rom 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
