The truth will MAKE you free I choose to read the King James Version of the Bible. One reason is the wording of it. I hear so many other King James readers misquote this valuable scripture. As I always say, if you alter one word in the Bible you can change the whole meaning of the scripture. Jesus said when you sin you become a servant of sin. This means you will do it so much it starts to consume you and you become its servant. Sin has a snowball effect. When you start with a snowball the size of your hand and keep rolling it through the snow, after while it will be big enough to make a snowman with. One sin can turn in to a hundred sins. If you commit one act of sin then you have to tell a lie every time you are asked about it. Now you have become its servant. I remember in school one of my friends taught me how to make a D into a B on my report card. I mastered the craft and my mother had no idea. What I didnt factor in is that on my next report card it would have the previous grade and I would forget to keep up with the sin. I see so many men dominated by a woman other than their wife/girlfriend all in an effort to mask their sin. In conclusion, the difference between being set free and made free is this: picture an animal being released from a trap (set free). There is a possibility that he will go back to the same thing that drew him to the trap and fall into the same trap. To be made free is the reason Paul and Silas sat in the jailhouse even after the doors flew open and the shackles and chains fell off their hands and feet. They knew they were already free. This is what the scripture means when it says no weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). So once you are made free you are free indeed. Steadfast therefore in the liberty where with Christ has MADE us free and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
