The twins. (I always buy two, because my back-up, no matter what I carry, will always be identical to my primary.) I have carried and used countless 1911 variants, from worn and torn military issue in the field to the high end custom jobs to the guns that fall in between. Quite frankly, there is not a better 1911 model out there for the money--and I would put my Ruger SR1911CMD pistols up against anything out there, regardless of name, reputation, or cost. What first appealed to me is the contrasting blue components against the stainless frame and slide--and its ALL METAL. I almost bought the Government model when Ruger introduced it, however, I thought just maybe if I wait a little while a Commander variant will come along. Patience paid off this time. I use only the factory mags made by Checkmate and right now CTD has the best price on them.
