The unofficial results are in from absentee and all eight precincts for tonights primary election. In one of the tightest Republican races, its not entirely clear which two candidates will be on the ballot for Hardin County Supervisor. While Lance Granzow won the three-way race with 1,065 votes, neither of his fellow candidates - Renee McClellan and Brian Lauterbach - got the required 35 percent of the vote to win nomination. McClellan got 873 votes, which is 32 percent, and Lauterbach got 827 votes, which is 30 percent. A Hardin County Republican Party Convention will have to be called to choose a second nominee for Novembers ballot. Lori Kadner got the approval of 889 voters for County Recorder with Tifani Eisentrager taking in 682, which means Kadner will be the Republican Partys nominee in November. Incumbent for County Attorney Randall Tilton was denied, bringing in 711 ballots to Rick Dunns 864, which will put Dunn on Novembers ballot. Jessica Lara, running unopposed for County Auditor, garnered 1,323 votes. And Machel Eichmeier, also running unopposed, won the Republican Partys County Treasurer nominee position with 1,455 votes. On the Democrats side, Barb Nuss received 138 votes as the only County Recorder candidate. Go to timescitizen for the story.
