The update to the TV Calendar is coming soon, and I want to address one major point before I get into the actual features, which I will have more information on shortly. The site will now have a Premium (ie, subscription paid) version, and I feel I need to explain what this will mean before anything else. If you do not wish to donate then *NOTHING* will change for you. I have to stress that I will NEVER limit the services as they are now. You will still get the updated design(s), unlimited filter selections, unlimited watched, all new features (friends, lists, the secret feature, whatever else I can think of). The Premium content will include extending a couple of current features (but not significantly changing them), and more designs for the front page based on the most popular shows, so you can make the Calendar your own. Basically it will be for things that use more CPU and bandwidth and therefore cost a little more to develop and run. The Premium content is a way to really say thank you for donating rather than forcing money out of you guys. I definitely dont want you to think I am just trying to make money without regard for you. If you didnt know, I work on the site on my own, and running a site of more than a million users with hundreds of thousands of visits a day alone is both difficult and rewarding. The Calendar wont be going anywhere, even if no one donates; your donations just make the upkeep *easier* and I can give you guys a better experience in return. Im planning a preview of the new design to get a bit of feedback before making the changes live. Because of this Premium content, I will be offering a spot in the preview to those who have donated 20 £/$/€. I will make full details of pricing and features for this content available very soon.
