The usage of the term “African American” to identify the Black - TopicsExpress

The usage of the term “African American” to identify the Black population of America has further divided us from the main stream of Black Consciousness the world over, and has brought us as a people deeper into the trenches of the dominion and rule of our former slave masters. Their greatest desire is to keep us in the condition of a slave mentality. The majority of our uniformed people, particularly in leadership roles, believe it is a privilege to be called by their encoded name, “African American,” which denotes a form of ownership. In reality, we are neither African nor Americans in the strictest use of the term. The use of the term “African” is given to us as a study in our Supreme Wisdom Lessons, Lesson No. 1, Question and Answer 6 with the question: “Why does the Devil call our people African? —Ans.: To make our people of North America believe that the people on that continent are the only people they have and are all savage. He bought a trading post in the jungle of that continent. The original people live on this continent and they are the ones who strayed away from civilization and are living a jungle life. The original people call this continent, Asia, but the Devils call it, Africa, to try to divide them. He wants us to think that we are all different.” We may ask: Why does the White man desire to exploit us as with no other people? The question and answer again is given in Lesson Number 1, Question and Answer 7, —“Why does the Devil keep our people illiterate? Ans.: So that he can use them for a tool and, also, a slave. He keeps them blind to themselves so that he can master them. Illiterate means ignorant.” This generally sums up the Black man’s present thoughts about himself and describes our pitiful condition living in America since the beginning of servitude slavery over the last 460 years of our tortuous confinement to the shores of North America. According to the Divine Teachings of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, the Black man’s forefathers were captured in Africa by the European slave traders and forced into servitude slavery and brought on this westerly course in order to get even with our forebearers who forced them out of the Holy Land in Arabia six thousand years ago for making trouble among our righteous people.
