The vada-pav shop waallah at (lets just say location x) and I have had quite a few passionate discussions about politics over the last year... He is a Modi man, whereas I am quite ambivalent. He could never comprehend that small matters like fact were actually relevant in claims of progress. And Ive also been cleared of quite a few Modi misconceptions by him. So when the election results were out, we celebrated together. I got him souvenirs from my travels and he still treats me like the old customer... After PM Modi was sworn in, you could see a swagger in him and I was happy to see the negativity turn into hope. Slowly, he began to develop an Imma eff yall up yo attitude with the neighboring MNS Burjee waalah. Suddenly, he was the only one who was right in any discussion. Because he is a Modi man. The other day, I was teasing him about his waste disposal methods, reminding him that HIS MAN, has shown us the way. He laughed it off the same way he laughs off any fact-based argument. That was when I realized that most of these Fans are just opportunists. The real Modi bhakt is the one who picks up the trash from the road and does the simple act of binning it. So, my dear FB peaks in India, please be a Modi bhakt like me. And let your deeds shut your detractors up.
