The value of $ has appreciated from 52 to 63. So $ has become much costlier from what it was to what it is as compared to INR. Or other way round, there has been a fall/depreciation/decline in the INR value as compared to $. Therefore there is no question of strengthening of Rupiah. .. Secondly in a dirty float exchange rate system the strength, stability and buoyancy of a currency is not only determined by the foreign exchange and trade policies taken by the government and the banking regulator of that country but also due to a multitude of alien international factors!!
