The very first mail I read this morning!!!! not coming from a client, an employer or hot deals from yahoo... It came from somebody I looked up to when i totally understood how its like to be always on the move, and focusing on a successful life becomes your last resort. Im sharing this because this is something to ponder for someone like me who lose track along the way..., :) Hello Paul, I have been meaning to write this email to you for some time now, because I sense that you are on crossroads there and seems to be unsettled with what you are doing, especially that you are always one that is driven to make something best out of life. and that is good! How many years have you been in Dubai? I think there may be a need to ask yourself some questions such as why are you there? What is it you really want? and be? Would Dubai be able to answer or give those? or for now there are still things you need to do there that cannot be achieved or answer in other places? 1. If the answer to the above questions is yes, then by all means stay and work hard patiently for your dreams to happen; always be grateful for what you have; and not forgetting to enjoy life. Making money and be stable takes time and patience and hard-work. 2. If the answer is not really, then you dont need to stay. Sometimes, it just takes one little step to make a change for the better; it may be scary and risky, but we need to trust that life would supply our every need. We just have to be open and accepting; and do our part by making that little leap of faith. a. If experience in working overseas is what you are after, there are really other opportunities in other parts of the world. Here are some links of international organizations you can look into: ( there are also Manila vacancies) > https://careers.un.org/lbw/Home.aspx > adb.org/careers/adb-hr-14-0428?ref=site/careers/current-opportunities > who.int/employment/en/ b. You can also check government websites for their vacancies; and enter Law school as you have always planned. Through this, you can also rise to the top and earn much as well. c. You can also in fact apply later studying overseas through scholarships such as Fulbright in the U.S., there are also other scholarships in Australia, Japan, Netherlands, Switzerland. Through this, you can again experience overseas life and be in other parts of the world. The point in all of these is that if you are not happy/satisfied with Dubai, there are a lot of opportunities out there that you can really take on. You are at a time in your life when you can best do this as you are young, and have no family obligations and responsibilities; and therefore can afford to go where life can take you. The possibilities are open. It is your decision and your choice. Just dont be afraid to take the leap of faith. Rest assured of my prayers and support! Love, Te Lyn P.S. If you find love in the corner, take it with you as well. Life is a lot sweeter shared with the beloved :P *:P tongue
