The visit to Vanderbilt was good. The Ingram Cancer Center is remarkable - and I am very pleased with the doctor we saw, Dr. Emily Chan. LIke it not, the news they had for me was not very good. The rib pain is, as we suspected, cancer inside the rib. She recommended that join a clinical trial that sounds promising. It would go on for ever in a palliative sense, as Dr. Doesnt view this as being a curable case. I would be treated twice a week for two weeks, then take a week off. So it would be grueling. She gave me the option of carrying on what ive been doing (no thanks), and she also said that we could do some radiation on the rib to bring the pain down she said. Finally, there are two oral chemotherapies we could do, one is very harsh, and the other only has a 1% success rate. If I choose the cliical trial, i would have to basically move to Nashville for the remainder of my life (according to Chan). That program would be unending, So ive got a lot to think about. One of the option I have in mind, is to do nothing medically. But turn it over to God, exclusively. Of course, I have already turned it over to Him, but I mean turn it over to Him and do nothing else I like this idea the best. Much to think about.
