The walleye fishing was really good here this past weekend with most anglers reporting limit catches. The fish are all different sizes and age classes. They were being caught in shallow 30-35 feet and out deeper 40-70 feet all the way up and down the shore line. The school is just that big. They are running suspended at about 30-35 feet. Plugs like the new Bat Rats and Bagley Bangos have been hot along with crawler harnesses. Perch fishing has been slow due to the large numbers of eyes. The walleye feed on the perch and scatter the schools making it difficult to locate large numbers of perch. 50-55 feet of water off the condo area has been the best area.
