The water is gone and It must sorely come under A environmental disaster and should deserve Government immediate attention and funding for a new pump system in times of drought or theft (like the cotton growers use) as a back up to pump from Lake Menindee back to Lake Pamamaroo for re-circulation to prevent stagnant water killing the fish n bird life an help prevent algae blooms, Lake Wetherell would still have its small flow from the river to feed the river its self and Lake Cawndilla would just have to wait till the next major flow, although pumping back would leave fish stranded at times its better to lose some than to lose the lot. Water quality should stay stable for human consumption, I know it would effect the Strip but it loses it first anyway and people would still have Copi for recreational purposes, its just a thought that others can run with .
