The water wars is on. In Bangkok the demonstrations have slowed down and now Thai New Year, Songkran, is celebrated. The official date is 13th and in Pattay it is celebrated on 19th. Anyway for one week you get a bucket of water in your face leaving your home or hotel. The celebration used to be that one poured gentle water on the hands of the elderly in the family and friends. Seems like this is forgotten in Pattaya, now it is still some nice days if you do not mind getting wet, joined by visitors from around the world. You can even get a nice shower from nice, cold water from the huge ice blocs. Either stay home or join the “fun”.
