"The way you treated the police trying to help you was disgraceful" A drunken mum attacked police officers who tried to save her after an horrific car smash. Beautician Emma Griffiths sped off from the police before her black Citroen clipped a kerb and careered through the air and smashed into a phone box. The car then somersaulted through a garden fence and ended up on its side in the driveway of a house on Greenside Street, Openshaw. Fearing the worst, officers rushed to help and found Griffiths, 32, climbing out of the wreckage through the driver’s window leaving another woman trapped inside. While officers were trying to rescue Griffiths, who was already serving a three-year ban for drink-driving, she attacked them, threatening the officers with a metal bar and trying to bite one on the backside. She had to be taken to the ground screaming and shouting incoherently, said prosecutor Kerry Bell. She was jailed for 6 months... #joblikenoother t.co/S9dqcfS6MW
