One of our newest vendors, Nathan Hale of Hales Haven, is bringing us Hickory Hollow Shagbark Syrup that you have got to try. Made from sweetened Hickory bark extract, the syrup has a smoky, earthy and slightly nutty flavor. Some have compared it to the flavor of a toasted marshmallow. Located in Fairview, TN, Hippo Hollow is a family-run farm, working to raise healthy, good-quality meat, poultry and eggs. Kennys Farmhouse Cheese comes from Barren County KY, and were glad they make the trip to our Market every week. Kennys offers several styles of cheese, and they have samples to help you in making your decision. Try one of their Cheddars, which include Cheese Curds, White Cheddar, Tomato Basil (referred to as pizza cheese by kids old and young), or Reserve, which is aged 12 to 16 months and made with raw milk. Maybe you prefer an American-Style cheese such as Monterey, Garlic Paprika Monterey, or Chipolte Colby. Kennys also offers European-Style cheeses including Reserve Asiago, Swiss, Havarti, as well as several varieties of Gouda.
