The weather over the Ozarks is quiet this afternoon however strong - TopicsExpress

The weather over the Ozarks is quiet this afternoon however strong thunderstorms have formed along the Missouri Kansas line. These storms will be capable of locally very heavy rain, thunder and lightning, small hail and gusty winds. This activity will become more widespread through the evening and last overnight. Lows are forecast to drop to around 70 by morning. Additional thunderstorms are possible during the day Thursday as a second wave of energy crosses the Ozarks. There is a fairly high bust potential for high temperatures due to the clouds and rain. Right now I have mid to upper 80s however it could be cooler. A few isolated thunderstorms are possible Friday with a slightly better chance on Saturday and again Sunday. The last of the storms should move south into Arkansas next Monday before drier weather returns. No real cool air is expected over the next week. Highs should stay in the upper 80s to near 90 along with a ton of humidity.
