The weather stays pretty mild here in Southern California year round. But we do have a little winter of sorts. After the holidays, I look forward to the slightly warmer weather. By the time my birthday rolls around in the beginning of March, were usually there. My Chicago family sometimes has to deal with snow until Easter. And from what I gather, the winters seem to be growing more severe over there. Hooray for Southern Californias beautiful climate. Lets see how long well all be able to afford living here. I can foresee a day when California will only be available to the wealthiest Americans. And heres a little something to ponder: By 2030, the alleged one percent will be completely comprised of people that inherited their wealth. In other words, those people wont be self made. Theyll be silver spooned kids that never worked for anything. And theyll be the most influential Americans. Theyll most likely be dictating the contours of our class structure. Inequality is bad enough now, but when they come to power, I have a feeling things will grow unimaginably dire. I hope not though.
