The website of an online newspaper Prachatham สำนักข่าวประชาธรรม at prachatham got blocked, due to an article by a Thai Studies professor published since 2011. The academic article is about the identity of Red-Shirt movement and their potential attempt to establish a new meaning to the word Nation, making it more relevant to the People. Prachatham is a small news agency based in Chiang Mai covering news from alternative voices, including academics and civil society, on the issues of human rights, civil rights and development. สืบเนื่องจาก คสช. ได้ตั้งคณะกรรมการและ จนท. เพื่อตรวจสอบการกระทำผิด ทาง Internet ณ ศูนย์เทคโนโลยีทางทหาร (MTC/ศทท) ในการนี้ทาง THIX ได้รับคำสั่งให้จัด จนท. ใว้คอยประสานงานร่วมกับ ISP รายอื่นๆ อนึ่ง ทาง THIX ได้รับคำสั่งจากคณะ คตส.ของ ศทท. ให้ดำเนินการปิดกั้น URL ตรวจสอบพบว่าเป็น IP ที่อยู่ภายใต้การควบคุมดูแลของ IDC ดังนี้ prachatham/detail.htm?code=i1_08092011_01 Name: prachatham บทความที่ทำให้เว็บไซต์ข่าวประชาธรรมทั้งเว็บไซต์ถูกบล็อค เป็นบทความวิชาการของ ทามาดะ โยชิฟูมิ นักวิชาการไทยศึกษาชาวญี่ปุ่น จากมหาวิทยาลัยเกียวโต เกี่ยวกับความเปลี่ยนแปลงทางสังคมและชนชั้นกลางไทย ซึ่งเผยแพร่ในเว็บไซต์ตั้งแต่ปี 2554 #ThaiCoup #censorship #academicfreedom
