The weekend wrap, The south coast rock ledges are producing some nice fish, Kane Graham scored a good 3.5kg brown groper, Scott May landed some thumper pigs over 2.5kgs Royal red prawns and good berley made the difference. Bass Point is alive with salmon willing to jump on a small metal lure or jig, They are also patrolling the local beaches. Offshore in spot x the reds are about and hungry feeding on the cuttlefish which are starting to spawn. Fresh bait or gulp lures have been working well, while the Berkley Slomo Jigs are starting to produce quality fish. Kings are schooling up around the local islands. slow trolled live bait down deep scored a few anglers fish over the weekend. Offshore the shark guys are doing well but the best news is the the yellowfin are starting to thicken up. A few dolphin fish have been spotted and few marlin have filtered through. The weather looks a bit ordinary over the next few days but the new phase should see even more improved fishing results.
