The weekly Monday Night Game Night with Bingo at 7:00 and Trivia at 9:00 brought big crowds to Ace Hotel & Swim Club. We celebrated April Fools Day, the Kraft Nabisco “Dinah Shore” golf tourney, the wrap of the tennis tourney, spring break, and Marilyn’s de-construction and packing her bags for New Jersey (before a hopeful return). Guests attended the fun and games from Australia, Italy, London, Sweden, Belfast, Belgium, Canada, Napa, Provincetown, Colorado, Leucadia, Chicago, New Jersey, New York, San Francisco, Idyllwild, Ventura, Omaha, Palm Springs, Cathedral City and beyond. What an interesting, eclectic, energized, fabulous group of party animals. The birthdays of Dan, Lisa, Kuran, Kelly, Jack were observed and celebrated in song. Questions centered around John and Mary, Buttermilk, Byron Nelson, answering machines, Mt. St. Helens, Pepsi, boxers, Oscar weight, Doris Day and whatever will be will be, The Daily Planet, and others creating buzz, questions and bringing life to the room and interaction! Special prizes included tickets to Musical Theatre University’s A Chorus Line at Rancho Mirage High School, starring Eric Kunze of Miss Saigon, Damn Yankees, Les Mis this weekend; and tickets to the Palm Springs Art Museum and other treasures. Thanks to the ladies from Ralph Lauren for noticing my special attire in honor of the tennis tourney and the ladies in the area for the golf tourney!
