The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are - TopicsExpress

The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion. Proverbs 28:1 Continuing the thought from our previous post, on the matter of the saint called to persevere in the face of all trial and hardship. The wise King Solomon writes a line here that may at first seem strange, but contains an elemental truth into the behavior of the fallen human species. Much of our suffering as humans is no more than imagined, and many of our wounds in life are inflicted by our own hand, both the result of an opportunistic and cunning enemy. Satan is a master at creating relational issues and disharmony where there should and would be none, and is equally cunning at turning the smallest circumstance and happening in our life in on us, causing unnatural fear and self-pity. Beware the enemy who seeks to destroy! Our calling as those redeemed of the Lord Jesus Christ is to, by the righteousness that comes from faith, step boldly beyond the wicked schemes and unholy behavior that the enemy of our souls will provoke tirelessly- to get us to let up, to turn back from the journey of a soul saved by grace. Where the saints of God are going Satan cannot go- praise to Christ Jesus for this- yet we must never allow ourselves to grow weary or faint upon the journey. As I have written so many times before, I will happily write this encouragement again- we have been equipped in faith with all that we need to FINISH the journey marked out for us by our Savior Jesus! Sola Jesu!
