A certified Arborist is trained to recognize structural defects in trees that are prone to failure. Although I can not predict every failure a tree will have since it is a living organism, and being able to view the internal portion of the tree is usually not feasible, nature often gives the trained eye signs that the tree or branch is likely to fail. A complete hazard evaluation with proper pruning allows the Arborist a chance to recognize these potential problems and to remove select branches before storms hit. If needed I can reduce weight over property and on particular branch systems, and even install cable and bracing systems if necessary. I also evaluate site conditions that could be a factor in how a tree will behave in a storm. Tree bio-mechanics looks at how a tree structurally reacts during a bending moment.
