The wind was blowing strong that day and the scream was barely - TopicsExpress

The wind was blowing strong that day and the scream was barely audible to most, but I swore I heard something. I put one finger up as my friend, Chuck, continued his story about something that happened in math class. He stopped speaking and cocked his head a little to the left as if to ask what was it. There it was again: the scream of a young lady coming from behind the school. I looked up at Chuck. He had heard it too! With a nod we both sprinted behind the school and stopped short as we saw Amanda being held up by her throat by Quarsar, the most devious villain I had ever had to deal with. He was standing on the cement levy next to the river that flowed behind the school. Amanda smiled, slightly, as she saw us come around the corner. Quarsar turned his silver helm towards us, his royal purple cloak flapping in the wind. He stared at us for a second. “It’s about time!” he exclaimed. “I knew you would turn up, Michael. And you brought a friend!” “This is between you and me, Quarsar. Let my friends be!” Quarsar laughed, his voice sounded mechanical through the mask. “Not this time. You have stopped my plans of world domination too often. Now, I want my revenge, and you will watch as I destroy all you care about.” With that note he flung Amanda over the levy and into the river. She screamed all the way down and we heard a loud splash. “No! I screamed, holding my hands out, as if I could actually catch her from where I was standing. “I got her,” chuck said to me as he started to sprint towards the river. “You handle purple-boy here.” Chuck leapt into the river after Amanda. “Purple-boy?” Quarsar looked down at his purple and mauve outfit. “What’s wrong with purple? Real men…” “Michael, get your head off the desk and pay attention.” “Yes, ma’am.” I was in English class. She never let’s me finish my dreams.
