The winner of the Boston Marathon is an American citizen who came to us as a refugee. America is still that shining city on the hill. We are a country of immigrants and there is still a vacancy sign up. We will never shut our doors to good and decent people who seek a better life and who want to make a contribution to our country and make it theirs. Immigration has gotten a bad name of late. It is time we restore the honor and dignity to legal immigration by passing sensible and fair reforms.
