The word Adam means dark. According to Islam, Adam was Black or al least Dark Skinned while Eve was white, because the material they were created from had different colors. Adam: Adam was created from dirt taken from Planet Earth. God Almighty ordered angels to take earth from different parts of the Earth. The dirt were from different colors. Some dirt was brown other was reddish, while again others were black or whitish. Some dirt were taken from mountains other from valleys while others again were taken from fertile lands and infertile land. The means that the CHILDREN of Adam, Not Adam himself, came forth in different colors. The color of the skin of a human being depends on the percentage this or that color or the mixture of colors. The collecting of dirt was just an act of worship for the angels. God did not need them to do it, but He just gave the angels the order to do it as worship. The DESCENANTS of Adam also came out with different qualities which are part of nature and Gods Creation. Some people are shy, while others are loud and talkative. Some people tend to be arrogant or quick tempered, but others are humble and/or patient even during calamities. The behavior of people and feelings depend on the dirt taken by the angels. It is already determined and preordained. Adam himself was black: It is not a race, but just a different skin color. Reason: The dirt was placed in a specific place (Makkah = Paran). It was mixed with water so that it became clay. This clay was left in the sun and became sticky clay and then BLACK smooth mud. This Black Smooth Mud was taken to mold the shape of Adam, alayhissalam, and left in the sun until it became sounding clay like pottery. The souls was blown into Adams body and Adam became alive. It is an honor for Adam and his descendants that he, Adam, was created by Gods Own Hands. Therefore, when Adam was created he was dark skinned like that mud. He was 60 cubits tall and the most handsome male human being ever on earth. Eve was created from the rib of Adam. Bone is usually white. Therefore, Eve must be white. We see the share of Eve in our fingernails and in our hands, because our hands and fingernails are always white, even if the person is very black from West Africa his hands insides and fingernails are white.
