The words in the infographic are Obamas words, not mine... I guess - TopicsExpress

The words in the infographic are Obamas words, not mine... I guess Oprah Winfrey thinks that because I quote his words, I dont like his skin color... Or, because I vehemently disagree with some of his policies, Im a racist... Or because the fact that because I have a wife with Multiple Sclerosis, a daughter who has Ankelosing Spondalitis (the most painful and serious form of joint disease), both of whose medical care may be impacted by his ACA and I have the unmitigated gall to complain about it and try to get others to wake up to the effects of Obamacare so there can be a collective response to it, I am racist... Or, because the fact that my father was career US Army, spent 6 years in combat (3 in WWII, 1 in Korean Conflict, and 2 tours in Viet Nam, and have 2 high school classmates who are former Green Berets and HUNDREDS of friends who have military backgrounds and am therefore at least somewhat familiar with the needs of our troops), and am upset enough to express concern about their needs and disagreement with Obamas treatment of the military, I hate his ethnicity... Or, because the fact that I have read the US Constitution and Bill of Rights AND the Federalist Papers, and have serious concerns about how this president has failed to live within the constraints these documents, place on federal and executive branch powers, and has selectively decided based on his political philosophy, which laws passed by the US Congress and signed by his predecessors he will and will NOT enforce, and have sufficient brass on my face to point that out in a public venue in which I object to his behavior, I am racist... Not really clear about how those things have cause and effect connections... Not really clear about why it should be necessary for me to lay aside concerns about the effects Obamacare will have on my ability to provide medical care for my wife or my son-in-laws ability to provide medical care for my daughter in order to avoid the impression that I am therefore racist... And, lest you think these are the rantings of just another lily-white caucazoid obsessed with African-Americans, please know that I have both Porch and Creek American Indian blood coursing through my veins along with the English, Irish and Scottish - seeing my skin color in the summer after a few weeks of working my garden will remove all doubt... So, I say to Oprah, stop clouding the real issues by playing the race card - it is becoming very tattered due to misuse...
