The world will little note, not long remember, what we say here . . . But it will never forget what King Kong versus Godzilla did here. I was worrying briefly at the government spuriously collecting my data online until I realized that massive amounts of boring details about insignificant individuals will never appear on widescreen and in Technicolor . . . Where did my 15 minutes of fame go, Snowden? (Hey wasnt Snowden also a character in Joseph Hellers Catch-22? He was the dying gunner on the plane . . .Spilling his guts out, literally). I think its true what Pope John-Paul supposedly said: We are all on the highway heading at high speed toward Eternity (OK, I read that in Hofmeklers Heroes, the cartoon in Penthouse Magazine; you see how literate I am . . .). Perhaps nothing matters more than the message of that great song Nature Boy by Eden Ahbez: The greatest thing/ Youll ever learn/ Is just to love/ And be loved in return . . . Amen. (Feel free to ignore this inconsequential post on Facebook, as I will regret having posted it, myself, no doubt, in a few hours . .
