The writer tries to make this about fashion: Oh, look, see? Men are being criticized for their fashion choices, too! Except thats not what this is about. Hollande is being criticized for not choosing new frames that were made in France (after, apparently, making a big deal about how French people should be buying French). If hed chosen identical frames that *were* made in France, no one would be saying a word about them. Thats not about fashion. Its about hypocrisy. Thats fair game. He looks like a dork in those glasses would be about fashion.
