#TheMoment An elder in our family passed on and he was buried about 7 months ago. All the well to do people in our family lives in bigger cities but they all came down. And after the burial, my brothers promised to send me money so that I could raise a gravestone on the grave. They asked me to get the estimate for the block gravestone which I did and they sent the money for me to raise it. It was 400 cedis. But when I went to the cemetery with the masons last weekend, someone had already raised a tile gravestone on it with a space left to contain the name of the deceased. So we went back and I enquired and found out who did it. When I confronted them and they went into the issue, it came out to be a mistake on their side. They are now pleading with me to pay for it and keep it so that they can use the money to erect theirs on the right tomb. But the problem is, their own is more expensive, It is 1200 Ghs. I called my brothers but they told me to deal with it since I am the one home, and that they dont have any extra monies. I then told the people I would just have to break it and build mine because the longer it takes the bigger the chances of me using the money my brothers sent me for the job. They then reduced it to 1000, then to 800 but its still too much I cant pay. I know I cant be taken on if I break their gravestone and raise mine but I just want to know if its ok for me to do so. What should I do? I need your advices please.
