Their dad is my dads former boss and mentor, and the reason why we went to the Philippines last week was to find him. They found him, their mom, and their caregivers safe and relocated to Cebu, where we were able to meet them. During the storm, they had to relocate to the second floor and the roof, the first floor was completely flooded. The caregivers had been in a smaller separate house and would have died if they didnt find a rope that they used to climb on the roof with them. The rope saved other peoples lives too, and by the end of the storm there were maybe 25 people on the roof. Their dad saw other people float past in the flood. I know with the 24 hour news cycle, Typhoon Haiyan is old news now, but please dont forget theyre still struggling over there. Ive been told they have enough relief goods, now they need help rebuilding.
