Thelma Seamster Turner 86, of 2054 U.S. Highway 158 West went to be with Lord Saturday September 7, 2013 following a short period of declining health. She was born in Person County June 16, 1927 to the late Branch and Cora Carver Seamster. She retired from Royal Hosiery and had worked in the county school cafeteria. She loved to work in her garden. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Funeral Service will be Monday 2:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Larry Ferrell, Pastor. Interment will be in the family cemetery near the home. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. -2:30 p.m. in the church choir room and other times at the residence. Survivors are daughters Lynn Talley and Cheryl Purnell of West Yanceyville, sons Andy Turner of Anderson, William Turner of the home and one sister Alma S. Harris, one brother Jack Seamster, both of Roxboro. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband W. Swanson Turner, son Jerry W. Turner, brothers Sammy, Nathan, and Paul, sisters Mildred Duncan, Tassie Clayton, Mary Oakley and Esther Evans. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O.
