“Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time” (1 Kings 19: 2). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today. Our Focal Scripture indicates that Jezebel plotted to kill Elijah because he killed four hundred and fifty prophets of Baal. Elijah achieved so much in one day, and his huge achievement infuriated Jezebel to the extent that she threatened to kill him. His results unsettled his adversaries; his results offended and totally embarrassed his enemies. Friend, hear God’s word of Grace: you shall have resounding results that will put you in the news; your basket shall be full, your cup shall run over, and your enemies will see it but they can’t stop it; your results will embarrass your enemies and offend your haters; your results will unsettle those who have conspired against you; your results shall be so resounding that people may lose sleep because of you. The fact that Jezebel existed did not stop Elijah from achieving resounding results. God says, their presence wont stop your results; their hatred wont diminish you; the fact that they are working against you will not make your achievements impossible. It doesn’t matter how many ‘Jezebels’ that exist around you; they will hear the news of your results, and they can’t do anything about it. Elijah’s achievement came as a result of the God-factor, and it didn’t matter how many ‘Jezebels’ that were against him. Hold on to God, ignore the ‘Jezebels’ of this world, play your part and God will grant you resounding results. In Psalm 86 vs. 17 (GWT), the Psalmist put it aptly: “Grant me some proof of your goodness so that those who hate me may see it and be put to shame. You, O LORD, have helped me and comforted me. Pray With Me: Lord, grant me resounding results that will embarrass my enemies, in Jesus name! Follow on Twitter @jerrystreams. Have A Fruitful Monday!
