Then he said... I want you to have this.... ....sitting in the parking lot by the lake feeling somewhat disappointed with my time in the half marathon Sat.. Driver door was open and I heard.. You run in the race..? ...yes the half marathon... How do you feel...?. I looked up and saw a young man writing in a school notebook....I feel tired and my legs are sore.... Would you run it again...? I finally caught on. (I could tell by his speech pattern and his writing there were some delays present. I was being interviewed by someone with a slight learning disability) Run again no. What are doing there ? Im taking notes Are you writing a journal ? Im writing for school ...... What was your time...? he asked.... 2 hours and 37 minutes. That is a real good time. ....I just wanted to do better...thats all...but I couldnt keep up with the runners in front of me. He reaches into his pocket. Then he said... I want you to have this...you look like you could use a Teddy Bear... if you take it to Krogers and put it in the box...you might win. It was an entry for name the Teddy Bear contest. I looked up at him. He had the biggest smile. I said I cant take your ticket. I have plenty more. Some lady gave me a bunch of them and I want to share this one with you. I sat there amazed. He asked... What would name your Teddy Bear...? He said 6-8 names and then looked at me...I swallowed hard....I would name mine....Brown Bear. Someone called him. He turned and waved.... I gotta go....hope you win..!....with that he was gone. I wanted to take a picture of me in the Grand Lake Half Marathon t-shirt, with my bib number on it and my medal around my neck. I wanted it to be my new profile picture. I changed my mind and changed my profile picture.....whats really important after all..........???
