Therapy Thursday Our 6 year old son has ADHD and has been having a hard time in school lately. He’s been taking things that don’t belong to him from other students and not listening to his teachers. He even went to the principals office last week for being disruptive in class. For the last 3 weeks we’ve been threatening him with the punishment of not going trick or treating, which is tonight where we live. Although he’s having trouble in school, he’s genuinely a good kid and now I as his mother am feeling guilty about keeping him home tonight. Would it be bad to let him trick or treat despite the fact that his behavior hasn’t gotten any better or should I make him stay home and help hand out candy to other kids? I feel torn between sticking with the punishment and letting him enjoy Halloween. Im also not sure how much of his behavior is really his fault since he has ADHD... Stacy *Help this mom! Does she give her kid a pass because Halloween only comes once a year or does she stick to her punishment threat? *
