Therapy dog Kipper cleans up after a long day visiting the children at the New Brunswick Charter School today. Kipper and his brother Champ each visited 5 classes from K through 6th grade. They taught the children how to greet a dog, what therapy dogs do, and taught them all about fire safety. At the end, each child was given the opportunity to properly greet Kipper. Each asked if they could pet my dog, allowed Kipper to sniff their hand, then tickled him under the chin. I figure he was pet by at least 120 children today. One sweet boy was so over taken with meeting Kipper that he dropped to his knees, wrapped his arms around Kipper and rested his head on Kippers neck. Kipper never missed a beat, he just wagged his tail. Another little boy was so delighted to pet Kipper, that Kipper decided to do his signature move. Kipper swung around, faced me, then backed up to be at the boys side so he was easier to pet. Ive seen Kipper do that with people who cant easily reach him, like someone with a cane. So cool to see. I am so happy with both Kipper and Champ today! They were awesome! With - Denise Intveldt Marden, Richard Marden, Sharon Rogers, Dave Rogers, Sherree Gerzanics, Jennifer Gerzanics
