There Is Life For A Look At the Savior In him was life; and the life was the light of men. John 1:4 Jesus is life, and those in Christ have life! Jesus said to Martha in John chapter 11: I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. John 11: 25-26 If you read a little further , you notice that when Jesus brought Lazarus back from the dead that He called him by name. If Jesus had not have said Lazarus come forth! If He had not called him by name; if He had simply called out, come forth! every dead body would have come forth from the grave! That is because Jesus is life! Jesus said in John 5:24- 26: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God:and they that hear shall live. For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; In John 19:32-34, Jesus is on the cross. The thieves which He was crucified between did not die until after Christ. They could not because Jesus is Life! This is why they had to break their legs in hopes they would die quicker. The Apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians 2:1-5: And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) Do you know Jesus as your savior? Have you been quickened; made alive in Christ? If not, its not too late! I plead with you come to Christ while there is still time! Oh, sinner there is life for a look at the Savior! Will today be the day? (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee:behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) II Corinthians 6:2
