There are a lot of big movies due out later this year, but the books that they are based are on at the library now. In December, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies will be in theaters. Based on the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, these fantasy films and books have a world-wide following. In November, the beginning of the end will come to theatres, as Mockingjay Part I will tell the tale of the last of Suzanne Collins’ Hunger Games novels. In October, the “origin story” of Dracula will be presented in a new film. The Dracula stories are based on the 1897 gothic horror tale by Bram Stoker. In August, author Richard C. Morais’ novel, The Hundred Foot Journey, will hit screens. Produced by Steven Spielberg and Oprah Winfrey, the book tells the story of an Indian family who move to France and open a restaurant, just across the street from a one star French restaurant. This cross cultural story of families and food stars Helen Mirren.
